MHC World is independently owned and managed by the Carrim family, that believe in building long lasting relationships with you and your family. They are committed to providing good, old fashioned service and competitive prices.
The Carrim brothers started this family business in 1959 when it was known as Metro Fabrics, in Church Street, opposite the State Theatre, later they moved to Du Toit Street, where they traded as Metro Home Fabrics until 1986. Then the store underwent a revamp and became known as Metro Home Centre. At this time, they introduced appliances and furniture departments to the existing fabric department. This product expansion was so well received by customers that in 1996 they moved to bigger premises at 410 Madiba Street, Pretoria CBD and then rebranded with their own unique identity to be known as present MHC World.
MHC World is also an Expert store, which means additional support in a number of ways, from both Expert South Africa and Expert International, from holding of stock in their warehouses to sharing of information on international best practices, meaning they can focus more on customer service.
